REACH GAINS EU APPROVAL

The European Parliament voted through an amended draft of the European Commissions Reach legislation for a new European chemicals policy at its plenary session on 17 November in Brussels,Belgium.Members of the Parliament voted on 1200 amendments,many of which make it more workable.It could now be in force by 2007 and fully operational by 2018,lead rapporteur Guido Sacconi said.
