Ube,Maruzen PE tie-up gets nod

The polyethylene(PE)alliance between Ube Industries and Maruzen Petrochemical has been approved by the boards of both companies,sources from the firms told ACN.The sources said it would take the shape of a new company,Ube Maruzen Polyethylene Co(UMPC),which would be capitalised at Yen4.4bn(USUS39.6m),and which would be owned equally by Ube and Maruzen.Ube is also a shareholder in Maruzen Petrochemical.
