Phenol price now at 15-year high

ASIAN phenol prices surged by USus200-350/tonne last week to a 15-year high,on soaring benzene costs (see page 25),strong demand and tight supply.In Northeast Asia prices had risen by USus200/tonne to USus1350/tonne cfr NEA,while in Southeast Asia,a 700-tonne prompt cargo was purchased at USus1500/tonne cfr SEA,USus350/tonne higher than in the previous week (see page 25).
