Central Railway, the pioneering railway in India also got the distinction of running First and 100th Kisan Rail in India during the year 2020-21, thereby helping the farmers to send their produce especially perishables to farthest places quickly and economically during Covid-19 pandemic. In the nation's fight against Covid-19 pandemic, the team of doctors and paramedics at Central Railway's Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Byculla and also at the Divisional Railway Hospitals at Kalyan, Bhusaval, Pune, Nagpur and Solapur have rendered brave and selfless service in saving lives and continued to do so. They are also now geared up for the vaccination drive which has been rolled out across the country recently.
