FPC proposes Larger PP plant for Ningbo

Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC) plans to increase the capacity of its polypropylene (PP) project in Ningbo,Zhejiang,China,to 450 000 tonne/year from 300 000 tonne/ year.A company official said the company had sought approval from the Taiwanese authorities for the larger project.The wait for that approval had pushed back slightly the start-up of the project to Q3 2006 from June 2006,the official said.
