Asian Ceramics: As we emerge from a global recession, how has Kale fared during the last 18 months, and what lessons would you say the company has learned from what have been volatile economic conditions? Bahadir Kayan: Having had a strong local market throughout 2009 and 2010, we were able to European markets. What is more, the changing conditions meant that we had the chance to diversify our markets such as in Africa and The Middle East. Being the leader in our local market we also took further steps to be able to lead in future through major marketing investments.
