This paper describes traffic signals which are controlled by vehicles' driving information transmitted to the traffic signals using road-to-vehicle communications. This traffic signal control scheme called ADS (Advanced Demand Signals scheme) controls the traffic signals by all of the vehicles' demands for changing lights, while conventional signal's is one-way from the traffic signals to the vehicles. For performance evaluation of the ADS, a microscopic traffic flow simulator including three intersections are built, and average travel time is used as a evaluation index. Simulation results show that average travel time of the ADS is shorter than that of conventional control.
