Russian Gas Exports To China On The Cards

BMI View: Russian gas exports to China remain stalled because of the signifcant discrepancy between Russia's minimum price and China's willingness to pay. With companies in Russia's traditional gas-export markets in Europe attempting to force Russia's prices down to spot prices, however, a narrowing price differential between Europe and China could reduce Russia's unwillingness to compromise with the Asian giant.
