Indonesian national oil company(NOC)Pertamina is looking to secureatleast3mntonnesperannum(tpa)–theequivalentofabout 4.08bn cubic metres(bcm)per year in liquefied natural gas(LNG) supplies to feed four regasification terminals from 2016.Excluding the proposed Cilacap terminal,the total regasification capacity of plantsplannedandoperatedbyPertaminacouldstandat12.3bcmby 2016,assuming that the Arun and Semarang terminals come online bythatdate.Hence,PertaminaisseekingenoughLNGtomeetabout one-third of its total regasification capacity. According to Pertamina's gas director Hari Karyuliarto,the firm will prioritise domestic supplies of LNG over imports.Should it secure all these supplies domestically,this could leave Indonesia with fewer quantities of LNG to export and further hit the country's share of the global LNG export market.
