Reliance goes big on gas and oil

Reliance Industries has draw up an ambitious capital expenditure plan to boost its presence in the gas and oil exploration, telecom, refining and petrochemical businesses. The company plans to invest Rs70bn (USus1.4bn) in the three business in the financial year ending 31 March 2004, much higher than the Rs37bn spent in 2002-03.
