JPIA to appeal for exemptions from gas-oil import tariffs, tax

The Japan Petrochemical Industry Association (JPIA) plans to appeal to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (Meti) to exempt gas oil from import tariffs and consumption tax in H2 of this year, a JPIA source said. This followsa rejection of its proposal on the issue last year by the ministry.
