Improving pre-heating process in No.3 RCM furnace of CSC

High ductile-to-brittle transition temperature of high silicon content ES is apt to suffer brittle fracture while being rolled at room temperature. Therefore, it's necessary for coils to be processed with pre-heating treatment beforehand. 3RCM is equipped with a pre-heating furnace for high-grade ES. However, longer pre-heating time and poor inside coil lap temperature uniformity become the bottleneck of production. With improvement remedies applied herein, it not only improves the longer pre-heating time and poor inside lap coil temperature uniformity issue, but also saves the energy of natural gas and electricity consumption.
