SummaryA controlled clinical trial was conducted to evaluate a sensory‐motor education programme presented to expectant parents in prenatal classes. Short information sessions on sensory‐motor development were provided to experimental parents by an occupational therapist. Statistically significant differences between experimental and control groups were noted in the home environments at 3 months of age, with the experimental families exhibiting more favourable environments.
