IS SEARCHING for an accurate price-forecasting model the equivalent of alchemy - the pseudo science of attempting to turn base metals into gold? Or could it one day be possible,using some super-duper,extremely clever mathematical formula,to come up with a forecasting model that can actually tell what the price of propylene will be in six or 12 months?
