Following a strong finish to Q216, Asian diesel margins are showing renewed signs of weakness. The impact of a drought-induced bump in South Asian diesel demand is fading, while surging exports have plunged the market deeper into surplus. Margins in Singapore slipped 14.3% since peaking at end-June, to settle at USD10.8/bbl on July 21, according to Bloomberg data.
