Renegotiation Efforts Pose Further Upside To LNG Imports

India imported 4.6mn metric tonnes of LNG over Q216, an increase of 33.3% in y-o-y terms, reinforcing our view for India to become an increasingly heavy consumer of LNG over the coming years. We forecast India's LNG imports to grow at an average rate of 14.0% per annum through to 2020, driven by a significant LNG import capacity expansion program and rising natural gas usage in the power and transportation sectors.
