Xin Ao delays methanol start-up

XIN Ao Group has delayed the start-up of its integrated coal-based methanol and dimethyl ether(DME)project in Dalateqi,Inner Mongolia,China,to 2007-08,said a company source.It had planned to start up the Rmb3bn(USUS36.2m)project in H2 2006.The company obtained approval from the provincial government to build a 600 000 tonne/ year methanol unit and a 400 000 tonne/ year DME unit(ACN 14 June 2004).
