Following an agreement between the government of Western Aus- tralia (WA) and Woodside Petroleum obliging the latter to supply an additional 100 terajoules of gas per day (2.58mcm/d) to the local market, Woodside has proceeded to announce that it will be devel- oping the Persephone feld as part of the North West Shelf (NWS) project. NWS is WA's largest gas development; not only is it the largest contributor to WA's gas supply, it is also part of Australia's largest liquefed natural gas (LNG) export terminal.
