Vietnam'sPVGasandGazprom'sSingaporeMarketingandTrad- ingofficeofficiallysignedagassalesandpurchaseagreement(SPA) on March 4 2014.While PV Gas,the gas branch of Vietnamese na- tionaloilcompanyPetroVietnam,didnotelaborateonthequantity, gas sale price nor the duration of the contract,it did officially state that the agreement will help to advance the development of the Thi Vailiquefiednaturalgas(LNG)importterminal.Theregasification plant will have an initial capacity of 1mn tonnes per annum(tpa)– approximately 1.36bn cubic metres(bcm)worth of dry gas–and is targeted to start up in 2017.
