Yisheng Chemical has sought approval from the Chinese government for the second phase of its purified terephthalic acid(PTA)project in Ningbo,Zhejiang,China,company sources told ACN.The company,owned jointly by Zhejiang Hengyi Group and Zhejiang Rongsheng Chemical Fibre,is already building its first PTA plant of 530 000 tonne/year capacity(ACN 6 September 2004).
