New FERC rule helps utilities recover pipeline costs

As the natural gas industry continues to work proactively to upgrade and build infrastructure, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has adopted a new policy that will allow the costs of die pipeline work to be recovered. FERC—which regulates natural gas pipelines across the nation—will help interstate natural gas pipelines to modernize pipeline system infrastructure through surcharges, or "trackers."
