Manganese ore prices start to weaken as markets slow

The manganese ore market is showing signs of weakening as demand expectations in China fail to live up to the initial optimism after the lockdown restrictions were eased. Beyond China, there are also indications of lower demand from Indian ferroalloy producers reflecting the reduction in European and Indian steel production. Chinese port prices weakened in the second half of the month and seaborne prices are under pressure.
