The present study deals with the evaluation ofenvironmental/ecological perceptions of secondary school pupils. Ithas two major objectives. Firstly, to administer a measurementinstrument of explore ecological/environmental perceptions for asample of approxi- mately 900 lrish secondary school pupils agedbetween 12 an 16 years. The operation and use of three subscales,'environmental behaviour', 'utilization o nature' and 'con-sideration for conservation', was based on a previous studyundertaken in Bavaria, but its structure, dimensionality andreliability was further assessed using psychometric proce- dures.
