Al-O infrared vibrational frequencies of gamma-alumina

The gamma-Al_2O_3 structure was considered as a hydrogen spinel and the complex Al-O infrared absorption band between 1100 and 350 cm~(-1) was interpreted under the criteria for the band assignment of the spinels. Additionally, a deconvolution analysis of this band was made. The collection of virtual bands obtained suggests that a complement band assignment to the spinel criteria may be done.
