MGC, Itochu in joint PetroleumBrunei methanol study

MITSUBISHI Gas Chemical (MGC) and Itochu Corp are conducting a feasibility study on building a methanol plant jointly in Sungai Liang, Brunei, sources close to the company told ACN last week. The comanies are two of the five companies/consortia shortlisted by Brunei National Petroleum Co (PetroleumBrunei) to conduct feasibility studies on a methanol and/or an ammonia-urea facility in Sungai Liang (ACN 24 Mar, p32).
