Aker bp's Liataarnet discovery is highly unlikely to be developed, following a disappointing appraisal well. The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) had earlier estimated Liataamet held about 148 million barrels of oil, but has now classified the discovery as unlikely to be developed - and Aker BP said it has depreciated the value of the find to worthless.
