Rudolf Nikolaevich Burukovsky: to 75 years birthday

ABRIDGED ENGLISH VERSION. Rudolf Ni-kolaevich Burukovsky was born in Leninabad (now Hodzent) of Tadzhik Soviet Socialist Republic (now Republic of Tadzhikistan) on 21 February 1940 to the family of a military officer. In 1957 he became a student of the Faculty of Biology and Soil Science of the Kazan State Universty in Kazan, the capital of Tatar-stan. During the study he specialized in the department of invertebrate zoology. The head of the department Vladimir Lvovich Wagin, a well-known zoologists,embryologists and parazitologist became Rudolf s scientific supervisor and the second "father". Rudolf (Rudik, as his relatives and friends call him) was working hard, doing his first studies in the department; in his student years he participated in the expedition to the White Sea and three cruises of the training vessel Bataisk to the North Atlantic in 1959-1961. The material of this expedition served for three papers prepared yet in his student years including description of a new shrimp species.
