Before attending my F-86 course in the USA during 2018,I watched videos and read the very interesting reports by well-known Sabre pilots Cliff Spink and Mark Linney about flying the former Golden Apple F-86A, a beautiful piece of history and representative of the first in the long line of production Sabre models. Having now flown the Mk6 for 30 hours and displayed it in 2019,I can confirm what Mark Linney explains in his fabulous Haynes manual on the Sabre, namely that there are huge differences between the early A-model and the late Canadair Mk6.
