A group of five new benzalacetophenones(L_1-L_5)were synthesized by the condensation of variably substituted aldehydes with acetophenone and acetyl furan,in the presence of 10 % NaOH and ethanol.Further more benzalacetophenones(L_1-L_5)were converted to three series of their imino derivatives(L_1A_1-L_5C_5).The chemical structure of these compounds was characterized by FTIR,EIMS,~1H NMR,~(13)C NMR spectroscopy and CHN analysis.
