AMERICAN MOTH REBUILT IN SOMERSET

At Henstridge airfield, south Somerset, Tiger Moth restorer Kevin Crumplin is putting the finishing touches to his DH60GMW Moth, G-AANO, with the fitting of the Gipsy engine and repainting being completed during early June. It is hoped it will fly before the summer is out. Built by the American Moth Corporation at Lowell, Massachusetts in 1930 as c/n 165, it was acquired by Kevin six years ago from James Wright in Wichita, Kansas, where it operated with the registration N590N.
