As a summarizing comment from the organizer of this month's articles, the author tried to figure out the necessary and sufficient conditions that will support Japanese automotive industry with NVH technology in the near future. Such trends as environment protection, international business competition, aging population and emerging technologies are included in the discussion. Regarding the change in energy source and power train selection, the author emphasizes the NVH technology will keep playing an important role in both technology and business competitions even when HEVs and FEVs dominate on roads.
