IAA-deficient mutants T10, T27 and TN3 were isolated fromB. elkaniiUSDA 31 by spontaneous and/orN-methyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (NTG) mutageneses. Inoculation with these mutants significantly reduced the nodule number on soybean roots when compared to that of the parent strain.
