Comparison of Microwave and Conventional Digestion of Copper Ores and Determination of Heavy Metals by ICP-AES

This paper summarizes the results obtained in applying conventional and microwave digestion techniques to Maden and Hazro copper materials for subsequent analysis by inductively coupled plasma (ICP-AES).The search for a rapid dissolution technique has led several workers to investigate the use of microwave radiation in the wet acid digestion procedures.
