ALTHOUGH PRODUCTION was nominally suspended in 2019, Pilatus Aircraft has delivered the final pair of Turbo Porters ordered by Indonesian operator Smart Aviation, based in Jakarta. These PC-6/B2-H4 aircraft, registered PK-SND (c/n 1018 and ex HB-FBD) and PK-SNF (c/n 2019 ex HB-FBE), bring the total production to 521 built at the Stans factory in Switzerland, along with 92 built in the US by Fairchild Hiller. The original PC-6 first flew on May 4,1959, and the type was produced with either the Lycoming GSO-48 piston engine or the Turbomeca Astazou, Pratt b Whitney PT6A or Garret TPE331 turboprops.
