Technology is deemed to have a critically important role in programs for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as disabilities following neurological damage and neurodegenerative diseases. Accordingly, a variety of technology solutions have been developed over the years to address the needs of persons with different disabilities and different needs. This editorial (i) presents some examples of technology solutions recently reported in the literature, and (ii) provides a brief description of the 10 articles included in this Special Issue of the Journal. Those articles add to previous literature and extend the debate on the use of technology within services for people with disabilities.
