New York-January was milder in Europe, Canada, and Japan than a year ago, according to data obtained from CustomWeather and gathered by Platts. A total of 19 cities geographically representative of Europe had 6.4% fewer heating degree days in January than in January 2022. The total for the September-January period was 6.5% fewer degree days than the similar period last year and 8.4% fewer than normal.
