Global energy producer TotalEnergies has committed to reducing its emissions from the sale of petroleum products by more than 30% from 2015 levels by 2030, the company said March 24. The new target is a significant advance beyond its existing goal to cut emissions from its own processes and supply chains by 40% by 2030 by tackling downstream emissions from consumption of end products - so-called Scope 3 emissions.
