Multi-strata Agroforestry Systems with Plantation Crops:b Environmental Integrity and Ecosystem Stability

My professional career started with plantation crops at Central Plantation Crops Research Institute (CPCRI), Kasargode 50 years ago. The topic for my presentation is Multi-strata agroforestry systems with plantation crops:Environmental Integrity and Ecosystem stability.Agroforestry is the interface between the agriculture and forestry and purposeful growing of trees and crops and/or animals in interacting combinations for a variety of objectives. Agroforestry is estimated to be practices on over 1 billion ha of land by 1.5 billion farms in the tropics (ICRAF, 2009) and the area available globally is about 1.6 billion ha.
