Brazil registered a fresh record high for oil and natural gas production in October after state-led oil company Petrobras and its subsalt partners completed a series of maintenance shutdowns at offshore floating production units and ramped up output from recently installed facilities, according to preliminary data available from the National Petroleum Agency, or ANP. Oil companies operating in Brazil pumped 4.18 million b/d of oil equivalent in October, up 15.9% from 3.606 million boe/d in October 2021, the ANP said Nov. 16. That was the second-consecutive monthly production record, topping the previous record of 4.048 million boe/d set in September.
