During the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held on January 8 to 11 in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, several participating companies has brought to reality three-dimensional (3D) viewing at home by introducing various 3D-related products.In the United States, 3D viewing is becoming more popular especially in the cinema business, with the potentials of becoming a new kind of home entertainment system starting 2010. The 3D video technology, which comes as a kind of entertainment variation, has already reached a level of popularity. However, it has failed to develop a market niche of its own.Nonetheless, as digital cinema continues to undergo digital development, the 3D technology has come to provide reliable, high-definition (HD) service. It has also propelled the film industry in the United States and has also ignited a new level of interest to accelerate further the technology's popularity.
