The HSE is to review its guidance on managing risks for expenctant mothers following a major report and survey from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) on pregnancy discrimination at work. The survey of 3034 employers and 3254 mothers, jointly commissioned by the EHRC and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and published in March, found that 1 in 25 expectant mothers (4%) have to leave their jobs because risks at work are not addressed.
