The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AlChE) debuted its Critical Issues Series, which is "designed to establish dialogue between and among people and organizations with differing views", at the Spring National Meeting in New Orleanslast March. The initial installment was entitled "Energy and a Sustainable Planet", and featured presentations on Climate Change, Alternative Energy Options, and the Viability of Nuclear Power.
