Oil prices fell as rising infation helped slow energy demand globally, although tight supply ofset some losses. Atlantic basin marker North Sea Dated fell by $8.60/bl to $106.06/bl in the week to 14 July, its lowest since 10 May, while Mideast Gulf benchmark Dubai fell by $6.81/bl to $95.09/bl. US light sweet WTI was down $6.95/bl to $95.78/bl, its lowest settlement in three months, pressured by the latest sale of roughly 40mn bl of crude from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
