Field trial of public transportation priority systems in UTMS

摘要

The objective of PTPS is to recover confidence in bus transportation by assuring punctual busoperation and faster bus transportation service through the use of the two-way communicationtechnologies provided by the infrared vehicle detectors which form the core of UTMS technology.This paper presents an overview of PTPS that has already been tested in April, 1996 in Sapporo City,as a lead up to practical implementation of PTPS.
