En bloc removal of infected hernia mesh rather than 'blue-ectomy'

We read with great interest a recent study by Yang et al. comparing open and laparoscopic removal of infected hernia mesh and would like to congratulate the authors for a great study [1]. Although we appreciate the work behind this paper, we thought that we would be contributing to the overall safety message with the comment on laparoscopic hernia mesh removal with the drainage of adjacent abscess.
