Arc Welding Systems Vigorous automation investments but low demand in Japan

The Current Survey of Production kept by the Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry show that production of arc welding systems in Japan fell 2.3% in calendar 2021 from the previous year to somewhat over 85,000 units.On a monetary basis,there was a decline of 0.7% to around ￥14.3 billion.This represents a minor reduction even from 2020,during which the impact of the Covid-19 crisis hit hard.Difficulties in procuring parts,including semiconductor shortages,forced users to review production schedules,leading to delays in capital investment schedules and other effects.
