If some books are difficult to classify, this one is near-impossible. The author was one of the original staff members of Air Europe, a British independent airline set up in 1978 with Boeing 737s, employed as personal assistant to the chier executive. Among her responsibilities was putting together the quarterly internal company newsletter, an important task in a new carrier building a sense of esprit de corps.Jillie soon found herself in communication with a mystery cartoonist, 'the Witchfinder,' who seemed to know a lot about the airline and its personalities and whose work started appearing in the newsletter. This volume contains a selection of his cartoons, which revolve closely around the airline and its people. Some are less than politically correct and others contain 'in-jokes' that will mean more to ex-Air Europe employees, but there's no denying that this is an attractive and entertaining one-of-a-kind volume.
