The market scale for three types of compressors-reciprocating,booster,and diaphragm-including part replacement and maintenance,was about ￥13 billion in fiscal 2021,an increase of 4% year on year.Coming into fiscal 2021,the impact of the Covid-19 crisis that reduced orders started to show signs of lifting to create recovery in the gas compressor market even though it was weak in fiscal 2020,except for the projects using subsidies related on decarbonization.Driving the market was,as always,hydrogen.Deliveries continued to hydrogen filling stations and research institutes.For the last few years,deliveries to hydrogen filling stations amounted to about 10 compressors a year,and it appears that usage was restricted to three manufacturers:Kaji Technology,Hydro-Pac,and Haskel.As for deliveries to research institutes,there was a major delivery to a large FC mobility refueling demonstration facility being constructed inside FH2R(Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field)in Fukushima Prefecture,and it is thought that Kaji Technology delivered four 300-m3/h-class hydrogen compressors.Mikuni Jukogyo gained increasing adoption of their products into testing plants related to methanation.
