Nine Offshore Technology Conference Papers Form First Volume of Hall of Fame Collection

For more than 35 years the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has brought together engineers, scientists, and many other professionals working in the offshore industry to discuss new technologies and exchange ideas about how to find and produce oil and gas in challenging offshore environments. Participants have also addressed the development of offshore resources through advances in drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection. So far more than 17,700 papers have been presented at the OTC, an annual event that will be held in Houston this year at the Reliant Center May 1--4. Many of these papers have influenced the design and construction of offshore infrastructure, and the contributions they have made have also aided the design of other categories of structures, among them buildings and bridges.
