Having picked up modest chunks of equity production in Qatar’s LNG expansion, there is still much to do for LNG portfolio players among the west’s major oil companies. Having withdrawn from LNG projects in Russia and with security issues causing delays in Mozambique, the equity volumes that western majors were hoping would contribute to their overall sales of LNG are likely to fall short.
